The great ideal of a priestly soul ought to be Jesus Crucified. His only aspiration on earth ought to be to imitate him, and to resemble Him internally and externally.
Jesus Crucified: his book, his meditation, his example, his ideal and his love, for there is no greater folly than the Cross... which stimulates divine love in the soul.
This is the precious talisman of a holy priest: Jesus nailed to the Cross, crucified on the altar, but above all crucified in his Heart, with incomprehensible pains which are mystical yet real.
